1. Overview

Refund & Returns Policy

Used Engines Inc sells used, pre-owned automotive components, including engines, transmissions, and related auto parts. Due to the nature of these products:

    All refunds and returns are strictly conditional & require approval.

    Placing an order confirms that the customer has read, understood, and agreed to this policy.

    No exceptions will be made outside these rules.

2. Return Authorization (Mandatory)

Returns may be approved only if the following cases:

    Incorrect product shipped by Used Engines Inc.

    Damage during transit, reported within 48 hours of delivery.

    Warranty-approved mechanical failure, as per the Warranty Policy.

    Each request is reviewed individually.

    Customers may need to provide photos, videos or supporting documents.

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

    Products that have been altered, modified, dismantled, or repaired.

    Items returned without original packaging or documentation.

    Orders delayed due to incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

    Special-order items or items held with a deposit.

    Electrical or electronic components.

5. Appearance & Inspection

    Used engines may show signs of wear, including rust, scratches, discoloration, oil stains, or prior use marks.

    Performance is gauranteed; appearance is not.

    Customers must inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery.

    Refusing delivery due to appearance will result in a 20% restocking fee plus shipping costs both ways. No refund of shipping, handling, or processing fees.

6. Order Cancellations

    Within 24 hours: No fees applied, if you cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it.

    After 24 hours: A mandatory 20% restocking fee applies.

  • tag

    After Shipment/Preparation: 20% restocking fee plus shipping costs both ways.

7. Warranty Returns & Replacements

    Shipping is covered only for approved warranty claims.

    Refusing an approved replacement is treated as a voluntary cancellation → 20% restocking + applicable shipping.

8. Customer Errors & VIN/Compatibility Issues

    Used Engines Inc. verifies vehicle compatibility using a VIN-based system.

    Customers must provide accurate vehicle information.

If incorrect information is provided:

    Customer pays any price difference.

    Customer pays two-way shipping charges.

    Refusal of replacement → 20% restocking fee.

9. Core Returns & Deposits

    Certain engines or transmissions require a core deposit.

    Refund of core deposit occurs only if the core is returned complete, undamaged, and within the allowed timeframe.

10. Non-Refundable Deposits

    Inventory hold deposits.

    Special-order deposits.

    These deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.

11. Refund Processing

    Refunds are issued only to the original payment method.

    Processing takes 5-7 business days after approval.

    Bank/Credit Card processing may take additional 5-10 business days.

    Used Engines Inc. is not responsible for bank delays.

12. Shipping & Transaction Fees

    Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by Used Engines Inc.

    Return shipping instructions must be followed exactly, or refund may be denied.

    All transaction, processing, and payment fees are final and non-refundable, except when the company is at fault.

13. Limitation of Liability

Used Engines Inc. is not responsible for:

    Labor or installation/removal charges.

    Towing or transportation costs.

  • tag

    Rental vehicles.

  • tag

    Downtime, lost income, or inconvenience.

Used Engines Inc. is not responsible for any inconvenience, transportation costs, towing fees, downtime, or any direct, indirect, or consequential damages, including delays, resulting from any defect under this policy.

14. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

    Providing accurate vehicle information.

  • tag

    Retaining installation and diagnostic documents.

  • tag

    Reporting any issues within the stated timelines.

    Failure to comply may result in denial of return or refund.
